Florida recognizes four main license designations for electrical contracting:

- EF – Alarm System Contractor I (fire and burglar systems)
- EG – Alarm System Contractor II (burglar systems only)
- ES – Specialty Contractor (data and low-voltage systems other than high-voltage, fire, and burglar alarms)
